“If you don’t see the book you want on the shelf, write it”

I am a fully grown adult who still gets excited over the Scholastic book catalog.

I can wander for hours in bookstores. I absolutely love a freshly sharpened pencil (like realllly love it). And I have found so much joy in pursuing my dream of being a children’s book author. Inspired by my own high-spirited children, I aim to create stories that excite curiosity and broaden our sense of community.

I wrote my first book, The Great Latke Cook Off, shortly after my oldest child was born. As part of an interfaith family, my son received a number of lovely Christmas books during his first holiday season. I went out with the intention to purchase some Chanukah books for him, but I couldn’t find any stories that resonated with our own cultural experience. So I decided to write my own.

Flash forward several years and I am now working on my fourth self-published book, with many other stories rolling around in my mind! I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to share my work with readers across North America, as well as support other aspiring and self-published writers in their own author journey.

If you’d like more information on my work, scheduling an author visit or interview, or signing up for my online course, please get in touch! I would love to connect with you.
