Share Some Good News

One silver lining for me over the past few weeks has been checking in and reconnecting with so many people in my life. Between texts, video chats, and social media, I am suddenly (and happily) more aware of what is happening in the daily lives of people I care about.

And one common thread? We all could use some good news right now. So let's share something exciting!

For all of you aspiring or established authors out there, how many people in your life know about your upcoming book project? A select few? Just your inner circle? Maybe a dozen or so? Here's a challenge for you this week: Tell everyone you talk to.

Enlist your friends in helping you select the cover art for your novel. Email some parents from your child's school to see if you could do a video test reading of your upcoming children's book. Tell a neighbor (from 6 feet away) that you're using this time to finish up the first draft of your new book. Create a video announcement to post on social media letting people know you have good news to share*. I'm willing to bet that this sense of connection will spark some positive energy!

So I'll start: I've got some good news to share! Have I told you that I'm working on two new children's books? "Snow Day at the Zoo" and "Places We Have Never Been" are both set to be released this fall! I can't wait to tell you more in the coming months.

Your turn: Tell others about your book! Tell me about your book! I can't wait to hear about it.

Sending positive energy your way.
