I’m getting back into author events this season! With an upcoming event on the calendar, I had to do a mental and physical checklist of all of the things I needed to bring with me to an author event. And you know what? There are a few items I had forgotten about! And a couple of new ones that I added.

Are you getting ready for some upcoming events? It can be a bit daunting- especially if you're new to events or, like me, it's been a minute since you were last on the road. But, as always, I'm hoping to make things a little easier for you. So here's my go-to Author Event Checklist:
Copies of my books (obviously…)
Pens for signing
Table cloth
Display stands and display foam boards
Giveaway items
Newsletter sign-up list
Phone and charger
Square reader for payments
Cash envelope with small bills
Scissors and tape
“Back in 5 minutes” sign
Business cards
Dolly cart
Water and snacks
Deodorant (let's get real)
