Books of the American South

My family just came back from a roadtrip to Birmingham, Alabama- a place we had never visited. As we toured this beautiful city and learned about its history and culture, I was thinking about some of my favorite books that take place in the south. With each one, I found that the vivid setting played a significant role in the story.
